Ah, found it:

  http://www.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=38931

So it should be fixed in 4.0.1?

No. 4.0.1 has only the security updates. You'll need to wait for 4.1, or
install one of the NetBSD-4 daily builds, e.g.

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-4/200901060002Z/amiga/

You'll need at least comp.tgz and (I suspect) base.tgz.

Ok, I will look at upgrading to current.

-current is not necessary. Martin and I did not suggest -current, but
suggested the smallest possible fix to your problem, which is
what-will-become-4.1 or rather, the the compiler package from what
will become 4.1, which should be compatible.

4.0 -> 4.0.1 -> 4.0.2 etc.:       security patches to 4.0
4.0 -> 4.1 -> 4.2:                small enhancements/fixes to 4.1;
                                slightly enhanhed danger to see
                                new bugs compared to 4.0 than the
                                4.0.N line, but the bug you're
                                seeing isn't fixed in 4.0.1).

(4.1.1 would be 4.1 with security patches etc.)

5.0_BETA: what will eventually become 5.0

-current: what will eventually become 6.0

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I will let you know how it goes if I ever get that far. I think that I still have the comp.tgz from 4.0beta2 on this server. So, I guess it really should be updated anyway. I would like to build it all from source, because it makes it much faster for the 060.

Best Regards,
Al
