Re: custom kernel problems

Well then, I thought, why not take the "current" sources in the first place. Now I can't even make a config on the original templates:

root:/home/seqlab/NetBSD4/src/sys/arch/mac68k/conf# config GENERIC
../../../../conf/files:5: syntax error
../../../../net/files.pf:18: syntax error
../../../../net/files.pf:19: syntax error
../../../../net/files.pf:20: syntax error
../../../../conf/files:182: syntax error
../../../../conf/files:247: syntax error
../../../../ipkdb/files.ipkdb:5: syntax error
../../../../dev/wscons/files.wscons:36: syntax error
../../../../miscfs/procfs/files.procfs:3: syntax error
../../../../lib/libx86emu/files.x86emu:1: syntax error
*** Stop.

I'm lost. Frustrated, too.
Where shall I start? What exactly means "current". Is it NetBSD4 plus all changes/improvements/bug-fixes? Would I have to supplement it with other source-files?

O.k., thanks. So I removed the old autoconf.c and replaced it with
v.1.67. I`ll start compiling in a few minutes and see what happens.

As you can see in cvsweb log, -current contains some divergence
from netbsd-4 so it's better to apply only the necessary change:
http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/sys/arch/mac68k/mac68k/ autoconf.c.diff?r1=1.66&r2=1.67

Maybe you also have to remove RCSID part before applying diff.
(or patch it by hand :-)
