Quick update: my goal was to have a UNIX-like operating system and be able to write, compile and run C, C++ and assembly code, and to provide multiple users with a quota-limited shell account. I was able to install Debian/m68k using aranym (http://aranym.org/). I am definitely happy with this: I have a modern OS with a modern toolchain and a farily complete set of packages (Debian wheezy/sid, kernel 3.2.0, gcc 4.8.2, vim). I will try to install one of the m68k ports using aranym, and I will let you know. Thanks in advance, -- Emanuele Santoro
