Hi,
put a copy of the normal non-install kernel from a FTP mirror
hpcmips/binary/kernel/netbsd-GENERIC.gz
uncompressed, along side hpcboot.exe on the FAT partition on you CF card.

Run hpcboot.exe
Set root file system to wd0
Point to the netbsd-GENERIC
Hit boot.
