Looks like something goes wrong around the time interrupts are enabled,
but there are a lot of changes between


NetBSD 8.99.10 (RPI2) #0: Wed Jan  3 09:46:41 UTC 2018

and

Are you sure it's the move to GENERIC that causes the problem?
