Back on my up-to-date netbsd-8 tree, re-enabling DIAGNOSTIC or DEBUG
either alone or in combination does not produce a working kernel. Now
trying each of PAX_ASLR_DEBUG=1 and PAX_MPROTECT_DEBUG=1.
