The first two warnings are not important, but the third
one about the whitespace issue should be easy to fix.

I'm wondering about the many warnings, e.g.:
  ** The following functions might not be defined at runtime:
    time-less-p, erc-controls-strip
  ** The following functions are not known to be defined:
    open-ssl-stream, erc-network-name, extentp, event-to-character,
    redraw-modeline, url-insert-file-contents

Why are they there? Does this mean some parts of erc won't work?
Also, "open-ssl-stream" suggests this might need a dependency
on openssl.
