While that's true, the arguments make little sense on NetBSD.

- openmax is the only "accelerated" video display
- omxplayer is the only software using "hardware" decode.
- if VLC with OpenMAX support existed, it had the same limits
  as omxplayer.

Saying that, omxplayer was pretty broken for me, even where
it worked. I don't plan to use it.
