Dillo + Netsurf broken fonts (sparc64)

Hello all,

I have been using NetBSD on sparc for several years now, and just recently got a sparc64 (“desktop”) machine - an Ultra60.

Everything in scope here is 10.1 + 2025Q3 pkgsrc. I build my own packages.

On my sparc64 machines (headless v240, ultra60) - both Dillo and Netsurf(-gtk3) start up and display graphics, but all fonts are either blank or squares.

On sparc - Dillo works fine (I couldn’t get gtk3 to finish building on sparc so I can’t test Netsurf).

And this may be apples vs. oranges - but I ran the “xfe” file manager on the U60 and it looks fine - no font issues.

Here is what Dillo says on the U60:

Netsurf complains about “swrast” support - but it throws no font related errors.

I can’t imagine these packages would have built if they didn’t have their deps. met. Out of curiosity / paranoia - I manually laid down the xfont set on the U60 again and rebooted (no dice).

Is this a known issue ?

Thanks.
