Re: Executable bit on .desktop files: necessary or unwanted?



I use KDE from pkgsrc on NetBSD.  114/165 of my .desktop files are executable.  I cannot discern a difference.  They all appear to me to be taken into account by the desktop environment.  I wonder if this is a newer innovation that isn't incorporated into the pkgsrc version yet.
