python3.12 on earmv7hf

I have a RPI3 running NetBSD 9 earmv7hf-el (up to date netbsd-9) with
2024Q4.

When trying to build python3.12 it spins ~forever on this file:

  Compiling '/tmp/work/lang/python312/work/.destdir/usr/pkg/lib/python3.12/test/test_float.py'...

I have seen 4 processes at 17H of cpu time each.


I see in the bulk build that on NetBSD 10 earmv7hf, the package fails
with a different problem:

is anyone able to build python3.12 on NetBSD with 32-bit arm?
