I also notice that the WRKDIR (/work in my case) isn't empty after
bootstrp.

    # ls
    bin  bmake  libarchive  libnbcompat  mk.conf  mk.conf.example  pkg_install  sbin  share  wrk

In previous bootstraps I did, I do not recollect noticing this.

Is this an indication of a faulty bootstrap and what is the way out?
