Hi,

thanks for joining in the work to get configurable BLAS into packages.
As you noted, this is work in progress, with rate of which depending on
the time I spare. I really need to get a refreshed pkgsrc environment
onto our systems.

I am having a look on a test box, currently getting an error that
cython is not found.

I share your concern that there should be a better way to communicate
the BLAS_PC. But first: Why this?

Did you observe cmake being needed? Right now I see meson as build too.
