net/vnc

I'm running NetBSD/amd64 9.3. I usually run net/tightvnc as a server
and I'm happy with how that works. Experimentally I tried net/vnc from
pkgsrc current (fetched today). It builds (vnc-3.3.3.2nb15) and seems
to start up but none of the VNC viewers I've tried are able to view
it, citing "Protocol error: bad rectangle size 8292x25971". I realise
this is probably old code from ORL. Has anyone else tested this in
recent years?
