There's nothing to actually remove distfiles, but you can re-order the fetch preference list using
MASTER_SORT and MASTER_SORT_REGEX, e.g.:

MASTER_SORT_REGEX=  (http|https)://.*/

These are mentioned in mk/defaults/mk.conf
