I successfully built Rust 1.42 on NetBSD 9.0/amd64 last night. In my
case, I have the rust-llvm package option enabled.

(If you have an older version of Rust still available, Firefox 74's
minimum required version is 1.39. Having said that, I haven't tried
that. Though, I have tried building older Firefox versions with their
minimum stated Rust versions when pkgsrc had something more current,
and that's generally worked. Except, Firefox 73 wouldn't build for me
on NetBSD 8.1_STABLE/amd64 with any version of Rust I tried. I gave up
and went with Firefox LTS on 8.1.)

Dave
