google repo tool?

I have come across a need for google's tool "repo" which manages git
repositories, and am surprised to not find it in pkgsrc.

It seems to be, authoratively, at:

  https://gerrit.googlesource.com/git-repo

with a "friendly fork" at

  https://pypi.org/project/gitrepo/


I wonder if anyone thinks it is packaged already, has opinions about
which one we want, or, ideally, is so outraged by thh lack of repo and
pkgsrc that they are driven to package it immediately :-)
