RE: Re: lang/perl5 install fails on OS X Lion

Honestly, there isn’t much output. Lots of lines which begin with “pkg_add: Couldn't remove” and some file name, and a final line which reads:

pkg_add: 1 package addition failed

*** Error code 1

The -v option doesn’t tell me anything more useful and -f doesn’t change anything.

Q: Does pkgsrc on Mac OS X require a case-sensitive filesystem these days? I’ve seen comments that say it does and other ones that imply that pkgsrc hasn’t needed a case-sensistive FS in some time.

Thanks…

JR

What exactly is the output when you attempt to install?

I see problems installing perl5 on two ppc machines under 10.4.8 (along

the lines of pkg/42132), which may or may not be related...
