Re: python-38 and py38-expat required for libreoffice?



I think what you're seeing is the python selection logic picking the
highest version of python that isn't marked INCOMPATIBLE.

So far as I know, the highest version of python that libreoffice can
use is python36.

If you can overcome the problem getting py38-expat to build, it will be
interesting to see if 'libreoffice' will work with python38 and py38-*
packages.
