devel/py-setuptools installation error

In pkgsrc-current, get this error when installing devel/py-setuptools

Installing easy_install-2.7 script to
/usr/pkgsrc/devel/py-setuptools/work/.destdir/usr/pkg/bin           
=> Automatic manual page handling
=> Generating post-install file lists
=> Checking file-check results for py27-setuptools-41.0.1                                                 
sh: cannot create
/usr/pkgsrc/devel/py-setuptools/work/.error/check-files-prefix: directory
nonexistent   
*** Error code 2

# uname -a
