sudo-1.8.25 segfaults or otherwise terminates abnormally

Following recent update to pkgsrc-HEAD which included update of
"security/sudo" to v1.8.25, using 'sudo' as ${SU_CMD} segfaults
during replace/install phase:

===> Replacing for perl-5.28.0nb1
=> Becoming ``root'' to make su-replace (sudo)
[1]   Segmentation fault      sudo /bin/sh -c ...
*** Error code 139

Stop.
make[1]: stopped in /x/pkgsrc/lang/perl5
===> Updating using binary package of perl-5.28.0nb1
/usr/bin/env  /usr/sbin/pkg_add -K /var/db/pkg -U -D /tmp/pkgsrc/lang/perl5/work/.packages/perl-5.28.0nb1.tgz
*** Error code 1

Stop.
make: stopped in /x/pkgsrc/lang/perl5

Also, something like 'ls', run under 'sudo' looks like:

$ sudo ls
Password:
Memory fault
$<-prompt returns here  {first line of 'ls' output...                }
{second line of 'ls' output                             }
{...}
{n'th line of 'ls output                                }
_<-cursor position

Similar when timetime_timeout has not yet expired, just no Passord
prompt.

Observed on amd64 and i386 8.0_STABLE.

Rolling back for now.
