Update wm/awesome to 4.1: how to commit

I locally updated wm/awesome to 4.1 in my /usr/pkgsrc/local. I made the 
following packages:

-bash-4.4$ ls -1 /usr/pkgsrc/local/
awesome4
lua-gi
lua-ldoc
lua-luafilesystem
lua-penlight
xcb-util-xrm

What is the best way to commit these packages?
(1) Move them into pkgsrc-wip and push.
(2) Send a bug report for each package by attaching a patch.
(3) Send a big patch against pkgsrc-2017Q1 to the maintainer.
