Re-enablng the "dbus" option for firefox did not help.  I even went so
far as to nuke my existing profile and start all over.  Any attempt to
print in Firefox (e.g., "Ctrl-P") causes it to soft-hang.

I'll head back to firefox-47.x in pkgsrc-2016Q2 and see if that works.

If only I never needed to print anything, it would be OK.  But there
are some critical items I need that can only be printed from a web
browser.
