../../gthread/.libs/ could not read symbols: Bad value

pkgsrc on solaris..

alright the first error was resolved by using gnu ld, perl was compiled by using gcc4 from a different vendor instead of gcc3, now this:

if glib2 will compile i think most anything will after that, i could be wrong.

This is a known error in solaris 10 and 11 that results in glib2 failing to compile from netbsd pkgsrc on current solaris.

and i'm currently trying to find a way to work around this.
