Openoffice3 and OpenJDK?

Hi,

I have a question about Java-support in misc/openoffice3. AFAIK
openoffice3 is using wip/jdk15 and only for i386 for java support. I
read, that OpenJDK is "supported as well" on

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Building_Guide/Build_Requirements

Would it be a good idea to move that package-option to OpenJDK? AFAIK
OpenJDK is building on amd64 and so users on such arch would be able to
use openoffice3 full featured.

Are there any reasons why this should not be an option?

Greetings,
Helge
