Indeed.

No.
I test my updates in a sandbox where only the dependencies are
installed (using "pkg_delete -r \*" and "make
DEPENDS_TARGET=bin-install install-depends").

Perhaps you have a too-old version of some dependency installed
though; my packages usually are very fresh; then we'd need to update a
dependency pattern.

I just updated the package to 1.5.8, and will send you the output of
'make package' in a separate mail, so you can compare it to your
output.
