Re: CanoScan LiDE 30 on NetBSD not found by SANE

Hi!

dmesg recognizes the scanner correctly. The output of dmesg is

-------------------------------------------------
uscanner0 at uhub0 port 1
uscanner0: Canon CanoScan, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2
---------------------------------------------------

Well, the uscanner(4) man page says:

BUGS
This driver should not really exist. The scanners it recognizes can be accessed through the ugen(4) driver instead. A proper scanner driver would provide a uniform interface to scanners instead of exposing the innards of the scanner. The reason the driver exists is to have some-
thing that is compatible with the Linux driver.

Furthermore, your model is not one of the few supported by uscanner(4). Maybe you should try a kernel where uscanner(4) is disabled.

Cheers,
  Christoph
