It seems that the latest version of tor does not start if it does not
have a valid "Log" option in the configuration file.

/etc/rc.d/tor starts tor as a daemon, in which case it can't log to
stderr (which is the default, I think), so it will fail without having a
place to log to.

Adjust /usr/pkg/etc/tor/torrc with a proper Log option and it should
work just fine.
