 This is one thing that I would like to see changed during my time here. It is
 one of my biggest criticisms of pkgsrc from a developer's perspective. We can
 fix all of those issues, as they are not difficult to fix. Tedious, perhaps,
 but not irreconcilable. I have a short list of items to document in pkgsrc
 that fall into one or more of those categories. DIST_SUBDIR unknowingly was
 one of them, apparently.
 
 wiz@ and obache@ are welcome to comment on this. I'm sure they've seen this
 discussion already. It's not unlike discussions we've had lately in private
 mail that then quickly turned into commits against the documentation.
