 Sure, otherwise there would be no /usr/lib/i386/libpthread.so (or
 libc.so for that matter) at all.
 
 Btw., I just noticed that this is only an issue on NetBSD/amd64 11.0.
 On NetBSD/i386 11.0, libpthread contains e.g. __libc_thr_join just fine.
