 I have not followed the changes properly, but in general every
 sequence configure via cnmagic(9) needs to work.
 
 What we likely don't need (and that is how I understood Andreas) is the
 readahead handling during output.
 
 Andreas: can you verify with the patched kernel that cnmagic still works?
