>Release: NetBSD 6.1_STABLE
>Organization:

>Environment:
NetBSD 6.1_STABLE i386
>Description:
Trying to boot Sony VGN-P11Z for installation results in "boot device:
<unknown>" and "root device: (empty space)". This is happening while using
NetBSD-6.0.5 i386 too (via CD or USB-flashi external drives). If I use NetBSD
5.2.2 I can boot the computer via CD with the external DVD-drive as expected
and I'm able to beginn the installation. No such stop in NetBSD-5.2.2
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to boot a Sony VGN-P11Z (maybe other computers, don't know) and try to
install NetBSD-6.x. With NetBSD-5.2.2 you would be able to start installation
(boot into install- routine works fine)
>Fix:
don't know
