 Strangely enough, the issue depends on the DVD used to re-install
 a fresh base system in step 2, not on the sets themselves:
 
 - installing the -current sets with the 6.0 RC2 bootable DVD does
    not trigger the resume issue later in step 3.
 
 - installing the 6.0 RC2 sets with the -current bootable DVD does
    trigger the resume issue later in step 3.
 
 This leaves me clueless. :-/
