 Only that most of us don't have IRIX on hand to test. :-/
 
 If you don't see the problem, my guess is that probably it was fixed a
 long time ago. Alternatively, it could have been caused by mounting on
 a mode 700 mount point or some other config issue that we don't have
 enough info to duplicate.
 
 So unless anyone objects I think I'll close the PR.
