System: NetBSD hiro 4.99.49 NetBSD 4.99.49 (HIRO64) #12: Wed Jan 16 04:25:41
CET 2008 wiz@hiro:/usr/obj/src.amd64/sys/arch/amd64/compile/HIRO64 amd64
Architecture: x86_64
Machine: amd64
I have an Asus M2N-E motherboard with:

nfe0 at pci0 dev 8 function 0: NVIDIA nForce MCP55 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
(rev. 0xa2)
nfe0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 22 (irq 10)
nfe0: Ethernet address 00:17:31:8e:ff:30
makphy0 at nfe0 phy 1: Marvell 88E1116 Gigabit PHY, rev. 1

When I boot XP SP2 and then boot to NetBSD (doesn't matter if warm
or cold boot), I get many messages:
nfe0: watchdog timeout
and nfe0 is unusable.
See above.
Workaround: Completely turn off power to the computer until the mainboard
lights all go out before powering it up.
