NetBSD has longest uptime
January 05, 2000

Uptimes.net's current statistics show that NetBSD runs the system with
their highest recorded uptime.
They've got tons of linux users which flocked when this ran on slashdot,
now it's time for the BSD community to register some killer uptimes and show
off a bit too.

mtree - a built-in tripwire
January 03, 2000

The tool mtree can be used like the well known tripwire to detect trojan-
horsed files. With the additions in NetBSD 1.4 mtree becomes even more
usefull, especially on a firewall. See also the original proposal
of A. Wennmacher.

NetBSD/Luna68k progress
December 23, 1999

Toru Nishimura is pleased to announce that NetBSD/luna68k port is going
well and it's stable enough to run multiuser mode.
NetBSD/luna68k is a port to LUNA product line made by Omron Tateishi
Electronic, Japan. LUNA was a 20MHz/m68030 desktop computer at the
age of then-booming 'UNIX workstations', roughtly comparable to
sun3/60 and any m68020/m68030 unix boxes at that time. It is an
descendent of the company's 3U VME deskside m68010 box, and was
succeeded by a m68040 variant. It has a rare cousin which sports 4
processor 88k geared by CMU mach2.5.
