I'm pleased to announce that NetBSD/luna68k port is going well and it's
now stable enough to run multiuser mode.

NetBSD/luna68k is a port to LUNA product line made by Omron Tateishi
Electronic, Japan. LUNA was a 20MHz/m68030 desktop computer at the
age of then-booming 'UNIX workstations', roughtly comparable to
sun3/60 and any m68020/m68030 unix boxes at that time. It is an
descendent of the company's 3U VME deskside m68010 box, and was
succeeded by a m68040 variant. It has a rare cousin which sports 4
processor 88k geared by CMU mach2.5.

NetBSD/luna68k was made from scratch using 4.4BSD/Lite2 release of
luna68k as a valuable information source. It runs on WSCONS video
console as an NFS client; no SCSI, this moment. M68040 support is
expected as soon as a toolchain glitch is resolved. The public
release is scheduled at Year 2000.

This port brings an oppotunity of yet another NetBSD port,
NetBSD/luna88k, since the two have nearly identical set of
peripherals. No SMP feature is expected before uni-processor
NetBSD/m88k gets matured, though.

NetBSD/luna68k is a tiny port and I expect it's sane and useful
enough to be refered by possible NetBSD porting efforts in future.
