OK, perhaps 2 is ok if needed.

I'd suggest this:

(1)  Put "Download NetBSD now!" on the home page, or even most pages.
This link takes you directly to a page with:

(2)  "click to download NetBSD 4.0 32-bit Intel and AMD" and "click to
download NetBSD 4.0 for 64-bit Intel and AMD" links.  Each downloads an ISO.

(3)  Also on that "click" page, are links to ways to get packages,
source, etc.  And links for other architectures.

Before anyone flames me and claims that macppc or amiga or alpha matter
anymore, I'm not excluding you.  I'm just doing what any web site
analyst would say -- make the most common tasks trivial and clear.
People wanting to throw NetBSD on random hardware can afford to read a
bit further down a page.
