I see in the mail archives that others have had success with the D-Link DE-660,
but I get

ne2 at pcmcia0
ne2: D-Link DE-660 Ethernet
ne2: where did the card go?

but also the following message:

has someone with the same problem, but what was the solution?

BTW trying a D-Link DE-650 and Genius ME3000IISEs works fine and they all
attach to ne2 too.
