Use tables to try to clean up the list of supported platforms, also
add processor type and longer machine names where appropriate.
Link to the 'Machine-Independent Supported Devices' (Hardware) pages as
a prelude to dropping their link from the main index.html (to be replaced
by a link to 'Commercial Support and Consulting' soon)
