recommend drm card?

Hi,

I've got an older compaq computer with a spare pci-e slot I was thinking about 
buying a decent video card for it.  It has an integrated intel i915.  I was 
able to get drm working using 5.0:

total memory = 1527 MB
avail memory = 1489 MB

I ran glxgears and got about 500 or 600 fps.  But, it seems really slow, at 
least with the games I tried with wine.   Just for "fun", I briefly installed 
debian linux and got almost exactly the same perf with glxgears and same games 
...

The only site I could find with any kind of benchmarks was http://free3d.org/ , 
but that seems to be mostly for linux.  

Would it be worth trying another card for this machine or what cards work well 
with netbsd 5.0 and drm?
