Good news... I'm currently using the radeonhd driver (a snapshot
from 20070920) downloaded from the debian repository.
I had to add the PCI ID in order to make it start, pkg is available at:
http://www.netbsd.org/~xtraeme/xf86-video-radeonhd.tar.gz
