FYI,

I have integrated a driver for radeonfb into NetBSD. It isn't enabled
in any kernels yet, and it suffers from some bugs, but I wanted to
announce it here because it contains one very interesting piece of
technology that has never escaped into public source before.

Namely, it includes a "parser" to parse the radeon BIOS and initialize
most PCI (but not PCIe) radeon-based boards. This means that suddenly
radeon becomes an "interesting" piece of hardware on a variety of
non-x86 machines. I've used this to initialize the radeon for use on,
for example, SPARC and MIPS hardware where we had no firmware support at
all.

Take a look, and pass it on. The relevant bits are in radeon_bios.c.
