Unfortunately, the -r option for mount(8) didn't change anything.
I've tested that on the amd64 platform (at least in the USB installation
media environment) everything works as expected and according to all
manuals:
# makefs -t udf -o disctype=dvdrom test.udf /tmp
Calculated size of `test.udf' is 3104 KiB, 3 MiB, 0 GiB with 3 inodes
Building disc compatible with UDF version 102 to 150
UDF properties 02004<REWRITABLE,READONLY>
Volume set `6ae1ecbc1f1cf35a'
Primary volume `16ce653f`
Logical volume `anonymous`
Total space on this medium approx. 2528 KiB, 2 MiB
Recordable free space on this volume approx. 1888 KiB, 1 MiB
/tmp/gettytab
/tmp/sysinst.trem
# vndconfig vnd0 test.udf 2048/1/1/0
# mount -t udf /dev/vnd0a /mnt
# ls /mnt
gettytab sysinst.term
So the problem must be in arm64 specifics.
Thanks,
Iskander
