Thanks, indeed that passes without an error:
drvctl -a usbifif -r uhub1  
drvctl -a usbdevif -r uhub1 

Were can that information be found? The documentation seems to be
missing here.

Also, I had the hope it could fix that, but it did not:
uhub1: device problem, disabling port 1

The only workaround to this confused USB device seems to unplug/replug
it.
