Yes, for suitable users.  Don't forget that "user-friendly" is relative
to the user, and to someone used to the UNIX way (using Windows
because, maybe, it's what is at hand), dd _is_ user-friendly.

I'm not sure it should become the preferred way; there are plenty of
others values of "user" to whom dd is not particularly user-friendly.
But I certainly support making it an available and supported way.
