Sorry for the double reply. Wasn't meaning to post from a different
identity. I'm a bit out of my mind *sigh*.
To clarify: pppoe(4) uses the 0.0.0.0 and 0.0.0.1 addresses as
placeholders when setting the interface up, since some ip addresses have
to be specified. When establishing the real link, these get replaced by
the client address and the peer's address. Sorry for the confusion. The
issue remains.
