Hello everybody,

I've backported the humanize_number(3) utility function from -current to
1.6, cause I think, its a very helpful library call to have, and will
enable us to get the -h option to du/df working in the 1.6 branch, maybe
also other utilities can profit from it. I've tested it so far, and
everything works well (it was just a small change).

Any objections to not send-pr the diffs?
