See that "and similar utils"?  Editing .screenrc won't be any help when
it comes to (say) vi.  (Unless run within a screen session, I suppose.)

Though in my case, it's not scrollbars that bother me so much as losing
what was displayed when quitting the program.  (Not that it's that big
a deal for me, as I approximately never use xterm anyway.)
