I find I can persuade "wget" to use a proxy server more readily than I
can "ftp" client.  I appreciate that "wget" is not part of the
distribution, but once it's been installed, it sould be nice to be able
to use it.

So my questions/propositions:

(a) Luke, could you add a proxy URL example to ftp(1) man page, because
based on the present contents, I can't make it work :-( ?
(b) would it be impractical to tweak the pkg "fetch" operation so it
_may_ use "wget"?
